About GRACE

Message from Head of School Steven Brondyke

Hello, my name is Steve Brondyke I am the head of school here at Grace Christian Academy. I want to take just a moment to welcome you to our website. I also want to share with you what God is doing in our school. As you must know, a parent’s decision regarding their child’s education is not simply important, but it can be truly life changing. At Grace, it is our mission to operate our school as an extension of the Christian home. Think of it as a triangle. A well-rounded student gets the same training in their Christian home that he or she gets in a Bible believing church and ultimately at our school as well. Our educational program is always Christ centered and biblically based. After all, how can you effectively teach a student about math and science without teaching them about the Creator of the universe!

We take great pride in providing an academically rigorous, college preparatory educational program that is supported and led by administrators and faculty members that are highly qualified and passionately dedicated to serving our families and educating our students well. We are a fully accredited K3-12 academy that is accredited by the Georgia Association of Christian Schools. Also, we have a partnership with the American Association of Christian Schools. In addition, we offer a comprehensive and competitive athletic program that allows our students to compete interscholastically with other athletes around our state. Finally, we offer numerous extracurricular activities that allow our students to gain additional skills and to enjoy spending time, outside the classroom with our staff and their peers.

I want to cordially invite you to stop by for a visit. Exciting times are present at our school. Our student body is growing, our programs are continuously expanding, and we are getting the opportunity to minister, effectively, to many families in our community. We are not just a school, we are a family of believers unified together for the common purpose of educating students in a distinctly Christian environment. When you step on campus, I am confident that you will immediately feel the love of Christ around you. Feel free to reach out to us at any time. We can’t wait to hear from you, because at Grace Christian Academy it’s truly our privilege to serve Christ and you.

Mission:
In partnership with the Christian home, we exist to provide a Christ-centered environment that equips students in excellence to transform the world for Christ.

Vision:
To become a spiritually focused academy with elite programs that will prepare and inspire students to move into the marketplace to impact lives forever for Christ.

School Verse:
I Corinthians 10:31. “Whether therefore you eat or drink or whatsoever you do, do it all to the glory of God.”

Accreditation:
Grace Christian Academy is fully accredited by the Georgia Association of Christian Schools (GACS) and the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). Therefore, our qualified graduates are eligible for both the HOPE Scholarship program and the ZELL MILLER Scholarship program.

Faculty/Staff:
All faculty and staff have given personal testimony to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and have a proven walk with Him. They are dedicated to the education and enrichment of their students so that they can excel in their academic and spiritual life.

In addition, our faculty and staff are both highly qualified and highly trained. Each faculty member has either completed or is pursuing his or her teacher certification through the Georgia Association of Christian Schools. In addition, each one of our faculty and staff members complete courses each year in: Blood-borne pathogen training, CPR / AED training (Red Cross certification), and Active Assailant training.

Facilities:
We currently have 17 classrooms in two buildings, along with a computer lab and a library. We have a new lunchroom, kitchen, with a hot lunch program. We also have a full gymnasium that is used for sports and special events. In addition, we have a beautiful playground with GACS approved equipment and a soccer field on our campus.

Classes:
Class size is limited based on grade level. Students have daily Bible classes, weekly Scripture memory, and chapel once per week. Abeka and Bob Jones Press are our lead curriculums. Each student has the opportunity to regularly use the computer and the school library. Honors and AP classes are available at the high school level.

Technology:
Each classroom is equipped with a 55’ flat-screen TV and an Apple TV that is used for differentiated instruction. In addition, students have access to a 20-computer iMac lab. Each teacher is equipped with a personal and a classroom ipad. Also, just recently, we have purchased a Google Chromebook cart consisting of 20 Chromebooks and charging stations to be used to supplement learning within our classrooms.

In addition to our fully accredited academic program, it is also our privilege to offer many different extracurricular programs. These programs include:

  • An extended care program before and after school
  • AWANA program through our church ministry on Wednesday nights for ages 4 – 5th grade
  • Legacy Youth through our church ministry on Wednesday nights
